VOA's Dishonest Interview with Liar Wakar Uddin

April 26, 2012

ARAKANLAND

HA, HA...VOA made a funny interview with a LIAR. Neither interview is TRUE. Is that   an indigenous people of Burma or a Burmese citizen. It is neither. It is Kalar or Chittagongnian Bengali or Bengali or alien. “Burmese historians like Khin Maung Saw asserted that the term Rohingya has never appeared in history before 1950s. According to another historian, Dr. Maung Maung, there is no such word as Rohingya in 1824 census survey conducted by the British. Historian Aye Chan from Kanda University of International Studies noted that the term Rohingya was created by descendants of Bengalis in 1950s that migrated into Arakan during colonial area. He further pointed out that the term cannot be found in any historical source in any language before 1950s.”Who are furnished you (Liar Wakar Uddin)? You must stay here. Who says 2 million people there without official documents. In fact, about 729,000 Kalar illegally live in Arakan (United Nations estimate 2009)

Please consider! In U.S.A., USCIS-U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services do not recognize illegal immigrants as U.S. Citizens. There are estimated between 6-12 million illegal immigrants in U.S.A. Canadian Government also has interrogated a lot of fraud citizens and deported them. Burma or Myanmar should not accept them like America and Canada as Myanmar Citizen because they stay in Myanmar as illegal people from Bangladesh. Please take care! Bangladesh is right now population explosion. There is no family planning strongly in Bangladesh. It proudly says that “Men Power production” and “Allah Di Ye” or “God offer them”. No countries around the World illegal immigrants are approved by Citizens. Totally, this Kalar as Aliens issue is an illegal migration of Burma. As regards,Khine Kyaw Khine

23 April 2012 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will later this week head to Myanmar, which he said is at a “critical” moment in its transition, preceded by an official visit to India.

“Myanmar is only at the beginning of its transition. Many challenges lie ahead. Many concerns have yet to be addressed. Yet I am convinced that we have an unprecedented opportunity to help the country advance toward a better future,” Mr. Ban told reporters at UN Headquarters.

Speaking after a meeting of his Group of Friends on Myanmar, the Secretary-General noted that there have been “encouraging” political and economic reforms over the past year-and-a-half in the South-east Asian nation, including recent landmark elections and important steps toward reconciliation.

“We have come to what I believe is a critical moment in Myanmar’s transition. And now is the time for the international community to stand together at Myanmar’s side,” he said, adding, “yet we also recognize: this fresh start is still fragile.”

The UN chief said he looked forward to personally congratulating President Thein Sein and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi during his visit.

“Working together, they have come far. Working together, I am confident that they will go further still,” he said. “And together, we will explore the many tangible and practical ways in which the UN can help.”

The visit to Myanmar, at the invitation of President Thein Sein and the third for Mr. Ban since he became UN Secretary-General in 1997, will follow an official visit to India that begins later this week.

His first stop will be Delhi, where he will have meetings with India’s senior political leadership to discuss current regional and international issues, as well as matters of global concern. The Secretary-General will also receive an honorary doctorate degree from Jamia Islamia University.

He will then visit the commercial hub of Mumbai, where he will meet the Chief Minister of Maharashtra State, Prithviraj Chavan, and meet a small group of key business leaders committed to utilizing their expertise to promote the health of women and children. The UN chief will also visit health facilities where he will witness first-hand the progress being made in communities through his discussions with women, children and health workers.

The visit to India will conclude with an event, hosted by Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Advocates Mukesh Ambani and Ray Chambers, that will include the participation of representatives from government, the private sector, civil society, the creative community and the UN.

The globally agreed MDGs range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015.

2 April 2012 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today congratulated the people and Government of Myanmar for the “peaceful and largely orderly” manner in which by-elections were held on Sunday.

“Candidates from various political parties, including the National League for Democracy, participated freely in the elections, a development that the Secretary-General believes is another significant step towards a better future for Myanmar,” Mr. Ban’s spokesperson said in a statement. “He acknowledges, in particular, the courage and vision of President Thein Sein, which has made such progress possible.”

Myanmar citizens headed to the polls yesterday to vote for representatives of 48 parliamentary seats. A United Nations team had been on the ground since last week, and witnessed the voting in a number of constituencies.

According to the statement, despite some complaints of irregularities during the voting, key stakeholders in Myanmar, including political parties, stressed to the visiting UN team their strong belief that the by-elections were a boost for the ongoing reforms in the country.

On Friday, the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Myanmar, Tomás Ojea Quintana, had stressed that elections should be free, fair, inclusive and transparent, so as not to undermine the recent wave of reforms and the public’s confidence in the country’s democratic transition process.

Mr. Ban also took note of the “constructive efforts and positive statements by the Government and other key stakeholders, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, in the lead-up to and following the by-election,” his spokesperson said, noting that he is encouraged by the initial reaction of the international community.

“The Secretary-General urges the Government and all political forces to cooperate and build on the important achievement of the by-election and to consolidate the country’s democratic gains,” the Secretary-General’s spokesperson added. “He also calls on all of Myanmar’s stakeholders to redouble their efforts toward genuine national reconciliation and long-term and durable peace.”
