Arakanese Refugees Face Security Concern

Unban Arakanese refugees in Bangladesh is facing security concern of enforcement agencies of Bangladesh.
They had been checked the in front of the Buddhist Temple by Bangladesh security personal at 5 pm on Sunday, August 22, 2010 when they returned from Buddhist Monastery. A security personal asked to them too many questions and suspected them as foreigners who live in illegally in Bangladesh. During the questioning, they called to UNHCR office in Cox's Bazar, where could help something to solve the case. They have no answer.
But security officer said that they must come to their office at 10 am on Monday 23, 2010. The next day, they went there and they called again UNHCR office. At that time security authority told them UNHCR officer had gone to outside and you must come to our office again whenever we need and we will call you.
This is question for unban refugees are in deep of concern their future and they have sent a letter to UNHCR as Request to protect for their security. In Bangladesh, Arakanese refugees are suffered by the local office of UNHCR as discriminations regardless UNHCR's principles based in humanitarian ground.

World Arakanese Community has created Online Petition for Ven.Pinnasara who was arrested by Burmese Military Government also known as State Peace and Development Councial (SPDC) on Tueday, July 27, 2010.
Ashun Pinnyasara, 57, is one of the famous Monks of Arakan and he is highly esteemed by Arakanese people due to his good morality and selflessness. As antiquarian and historian, he collected a lot of valuable curios and palm leaf inscriptions which are all Arakanese ancient materials as evidences and documents. And he was taking care 120 children, whose parents are lost, in his monastery like orphanage.
Burmese military personals occupied his Buddhist monastery, all ancient materials of his properties which are belonging to Arakanese National and 90 of his orphans were sent to Mandalay and Maguey far away from their native place of Arakan by Burmese Army. He is sued by unacceptable Seven Cases of lawsuit by Burmese authorities who have created a lot of issues among the Burmese and Arakanese. He recently transferred from Police Station I to Akyab jail and he was faced two times had summoned for jury to the court of Akyab.
As the expression of World Arakanese Community concern to be released of Ven. Pinnyasara, and they have created and published web email signature campaign globally and all Arakanese and all people from Burma should be united to show the signature as this is one of causes of our concern under the unlawful rule of SPDC.

Saturday, August 21, 2010, the Meeting of the World Arakanese successfully held via teleconference and it was sponsored by World Arakanese Organization accordance with format agenda and schedule.
The major purpose of teleconference agenda discussed about the concerning of Ashun Pinnyasa, the head of the Mahamuni monastery, who has recently apprehended by Burmese Military Government also known as State Peace and Devolvement Council (SPDC) on July 27, 2010.
During the meeting, Dr. Aye Kyaw was a responsible person as Speaker and U U Sein Tun served as Master of Ceremony. Both Arakanese National Leaders Dr. Aye Kyaw and Dr. Aye Chan expressed their deepest concern the arrest of Ven.Pinnyasara, included the seizure of Arakanese national antiques, materials and Arakanese orphans.

Arakanese and Burmese Democracy Activists were demonstrating the in front of the Burmese Embassy in Tokyo, Japan led by Arakan League for Democracy (Exile-Japan) on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. This demonstration was shown that cause against the arrest of Ashun Pinnyasara, forfeiture of Arakanese heritage artifacts and some seventy kids of 120 orphanage children who were forced to send to the Burma by Burmese military government according to Lan Pya Kye source and ALD (Exile-Japan)'s Statement.
Ashun Pinnyasara, abbot of Mahamuni Buddhist Temple, was arrested by Burmese authority with the diabolic accusations which had been framed previously on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He was inhumanly tormented to confess by Burmese blackguards in Akyab's Police Station I in Arakan.
Mahamuni monastery is being prohibited and all precious ancient artifacts were seized by Burmese authorities after the monk was arrested.
All Arakanese and All Arakanese Organizations are deeply expressed their concern about Ashun Pinnyasara was forced to leave his priesthood regardless of Winaya (rule of law of Buddha). One of the apart of Global action, World Arakanese Organization has to plan worldwide teleconference will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Everyone is cordially invited by WAO.

WAO-USA- 7th Teleconference of WAO-USA Executive Committee Members successfully held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 accordance with prearrangement of Program and schedule. There was 14 attendees participated in the meeting and it was taken by two hours with twenty minutes of recession.
Moung Zaw Zaw Tun, who is served Joint Secretary of WAO-USA, undertook as master of ceremony and he announced the meeting agenda.
Dr. Aye Kyaw and Dr. Aye Chan, Patrons of WAO-USA and Founders of WAO, delivered the opening speeches in the teleconference. The both leaders suggested all attendant members unanimously made efforts to achieve of destination as United We Stand.
U U Sein Tun, President of WAO-USA as well as In charge of Relief Committee , reported the donation list for Flood Victims of Arakan, His report said that we have collected donation from donors who live in California, Arizona, Washington DC, New York, Boston, Taxes, Hawaii and included donation from his sister (UK). According to his report, he had received donation total $5150. We had already offered $2,500 to Arakanese Flood Sufferers last month through WAO Headquarters. Remaining amount $2650 will be continuously donated the Arakanese natural disasters accordance with WAO Global CEC's resolution

43rd Anniversary of Bloody Akyab Rice Crisis Memorial Day and 20th Anniversary of Sara Gree U U Tha Tun Memorial Day successfully held at the place of Sukhaviti office by Arakan League for Democracy U.S.A.in New York City yesterday.
There was attending fifteen members and Dr. Aye Kyaw, Patron of ALD, undertook as President and U Ba Khin also served as Master of Ceremony. It had taken time started 1pm and ended 4 pm.
These mark August 13th and August 14th held to remember as unforgettable days of Arakan.
There was causing tragic August 13th in 1966, Arakanese people who peacefully demonstrated to demand for purchasing the rice in front of the Mra Rice Mill in Akyab due to Arakanese people faced shortage of rice.
Burmese Army led by General Ne Win denied allowing of rice and ordered to kill the Arakanese demonstrators. There was recorded to shoot death over three hundred people.
August 14 in 1990, Arakanese Guru Sara Gree U U Tha Tun, one of the founders of Arakan League for Democracy, was assassinated with the posing food by the Burmese military government during his prison term in Akyab jail.
Similarly, ALD exile Japan headed by ALD Youth Wing held as mark these 43rd Anniversary of Bloody Rice Killing Memorial Day and 20th Anniversary of Sara Gree U U Tha Tun Memorial Day at the Ikebukuro, Kumin Center 4F in Japan.
